HF Hi-Country 7L was the top selling $185,000 elite Angus sire through the Hamiliton Farms 2024 Bull Sale to Canadian Angus breeders Strongbow Farms, Peak Dot Ranch and River Valley Cattle Co. and rights to market his semen in the United States sold to Pine Coulee Angus Ranch of Absarokee MT, Sitz Angus of Dillon and Harrison, MT and Grand River Angus Farm LLC of Grand Rapids MI. 

HF Hi-Country 7L is the epitome of what many are striving to produce in the Angus breed and he was a crowd favorite at Hamilton Farms sale and since birth with the many visitors that have seen him at various stages of his life.

His dam, HF Tibbie 21J, has been a standout Showman daughter since birth and was consigned to the 2022 Angus Collection Sale where she sold for $40,000 to Target Livestock, and Pentire Angus, of Australia remaining at Hamilton Farms for export embryo transfer raising Hi-Country as her 2023 natural calf.

HF Hi-Country 7L is big topped, with lots of crest and masculine character, with length of body and a wide base to complement his big scrotal circumference and perfect feet and he blends the best of phenotype, muscle, foot quality, rib shape and soundness with an abundance of real performance. 

His sire, Ellingson Hi-Range, was the $160,000 second high selling bull at Ellingson’s in 2022 and his outcross pedigree offers mating flexibility for a large cross- section of the breed and his grandsire is the famous female sire Basin Rainmaker 4404 who is a maternal brother to the great Rainmaker P175 daughter that produced the $110,000 dam of the ORIgen sires Basin Jameson and Basin Keystone.
