2781K’s dam, LMR Ms Mayura 0506H, is an excellent L10 donor who sold for $67,500 at the 2022 Passion for Prime Sale. Her dam, LMR Ms Shigeshigetani 3443A, is proving to be a superior donor in the Lone Mountain program. 3443A has produced 58 viable embryos to date and is the dam of LMR’s top young donor, LMR Ms Bond 2238K.

LMR Wakura 2781K is sired by Mayura Itoshigenami Jnr 0139, who needs no introduction as he is the undisputed “King of Australian Sires”. His semen has sold to a world record $70,000 per straw and live progeny have sold to $280,000! JNR is a true once in a generation sire and the foundation of the Mayura Station branded beef program. He has more than 1,400 carcasses in the Mayura herd consistently grading AUS-Meat 9+, with leading ribeye area and carcass weight at a young harvest age.
