This powerful young sire sold two-thirds interest for $105,000 in the Fall 2023 Byrd sale and the flush headlined by Fault Free included sisters that sold half interest for $150,000 to Katie Colin in 2023, the $170,000 top selling fall pair of the 2024 Byrd sale selected by Circle F, the $110,000 valued female that sold half interest for $55,000 to Andy Bullington with another flush sister that was chosen by Big Timber for $42,500.
The first fall yearlings from BYRD Fault Free 6276-2531 were highlights of the record setting 2025 Byrd sale and they included the $100,000 second high valued fall yearling selected along with her $35,000 flush sister by Grimmius Cattle to set the pace for six of the VERY FIRST daughters of Fault Free to average $26,958 and a Fault Free son born before the second birthday of Fault Free was the $25,500 second high selling fall yearling bull with three fall yearling sons of Fault Free sold for an average of $15,750 that was nearly $3,000 more than the bull sale average.
The dam of Fault Free is one of the most unique cows in the breed today and she is dominant for the genomics of her progeny, proven feed efficiency, performance and phenotype and the first public offering of her progeny in the September 2022 BCC sale included a $60,000 half interest daughter going to 3 Trees Land & Cattle in TX, a $30,000 daughter selling to Smith Valley in MO, a heifer going to Springfield Angus in NC, a pregnancy selling to Wilks in TX and eight sons that averaged over $10,000 and she produced the $29,000 high selling pregnancy in the 2022 National Finals Angus Sale in Las Vegas going to 4 Sons in KY and in the Byrd April 2023 embryo sale, 12 embryos from her sold for $66,000 to Express and Spruce Mountain and those embryos produced a $170,000 valued heifer calf in the 2024 Big Event at Express that sold half interest to Gobbell’s G3 Angus.
