Appearance was the lead bull in the 2016 National Western Stock Show Grand Champion Pen of Three Bulls and the $50,000 top-selling bull in the Frey Angus Ranch Sale in North Dakota. He balanced a birth weight of 78 pounds with an adjusted 205 day weight of 870 pounds for a weaning ratio of 105, with an adjusted 365 day weight of 1,495 pounds for a yearling ratio of 104 with an impressive adjusted yearling scrotal circumference of 40 centimeters.
Three sons of Appearance were a popular First Prize Pen of Three Bulls at the 2018 National Western Stock Show and sold for $35,000 in the 2018 Frey Angus Ranch Bull Sale, while another was the top-selling bull of the 2018 North Dakota Angus Association Bull Test Sale for Ridl Angus.
Phenotypically flawless, Appearance is acceptable in his frame size, correct in his structure, sound in his movement to be functional on the range and in the feedlot while still siring cattle with a desirable end product, and his sire offers outcross growth genetics from Barry Young’s herd in Canada and combines great performance with that pleasing appearance that is so hard to find in one animal.
