Conventional semen ONLY packaged in ½ cc straws

Forging great genomic and phenotypic progeny, this $25,000 top-selling bull calf of the 2014 SydGen annual sale also topped his calf crop there in performance stats, with the top average daily gain of 4.65 pounds per day in his yearling contemporary group of 31 head to earn the Number 1 adjusted yearling weight of 1,528 pounds to ratio 122 after posting a weaning ratio of 119.

Sire of the Reserve Grand Champion Carcass Steer of the 2019 NJAS, Blacksmith recorded a 7.13% adjusted intramuscular fat estimate for a %IMF ratio of 120 with his adjusted 365 day ultrasound ribeye area measure of 18.8 square inches earning a URE ratio of 122. His first son, sold at SydGen, was the $12,000 top-selling spring bull calf in 2016, and the calving ease of this highly fertile and prolific semen producer has been well-proven in a large commercial operation in Nebraska.

Blacksmith is a genomic superstar whose Pathfinder Dam is the top SydGen daughter of the 2010 Midland top-seller SydGen Contract 9410, and she has five natural calves with an average birth ratio of 97 and an average weaning ratio of 112 with four yearlings recording an average ratio of 110 and an average URE ratio of 111 on four progeny scanned.

In the Spring 2021 NCE Update:

NUMBER 4 at ORIgen for Calving Ease Maternal EPD and top 10 for Calving Ease Direct EPD and Residual Average Daily Gain EPD. Elite top 2% for $Beef value index, $Combined value index and $Grid value index, top 3% for Calving Ease Maternal EPD, top 4% for Marbling score EPD and top 5% for $Angus x Jersey index and Residual Average Daily Gain EPD.
