Hawkeye was selected by Three Trees Ranch as the top-selling bull in our 2014 Hoover sale for $43,000 and his first calf crop that sold in 2016 Hoover sale included both the top-selling bull at $31,000 and the top-selling heifer at $10,750 and 13 sons averaged $7,923 and daughters included the Number 1 natural and Number 1 embryo adjusted weaning weight heifers of the 2015 Hoover calf crop and progeny of Hawkeye sold at Vintage Angus Ranch include the $100,000 top-selling bred heifer in 2016, a $65,000 heifer calf in 2015 and a son and daughter sold for $40,000 each in 2014.
Hawkeye’s dam is a clean fronted, beautiful female with a nice udder and ideal teat size with an average calving interval of 357 days, average progeny weaning ratio of 6 at 101, average progeny yearling ratio of 6 at 103, an average progeny %IMF ratio of 6 at 111 and an average progeny URE ratio of 6 at 107 and his grandam is a maternal sister to the dam of the very popular Hoover No Doubt and has produced the #1 adjusted weaning weight bull in the fall 2014 Hoover calf crop that sold for $25,500 in 2016 and another son that sold for $17,000.
Hawkeye is backed by 11 generations of Blackcap Ellston females produced by four generations of the Hoover family and he had an exceptional adjusted yearling ribeye measure of 19.1 square inches for a ratio of 119 while recording an IMF ratio of 109.
