S D S ALUMNI 115XPrevious Page
Carcass, muscle & rib shape with reduced frame
Of all the bulls in the Gibbs Farms herd sire lineup, ALUMNI has had the busiest schedule of all over the past 3 years. Between collection and 3 natural breeding groups annually, he literally has never had a break and given time to rest and mature the way a bull should, but he has never failed to get his job done well. At this point, all that matters is how good his progeny has proven to be.
Through the ASA Carcass Merit Program and retained ownership carcass data from Gibbs Farms and Cow Camp Ranch, ALUMNI ranks in the top 1% of the breed for Marbling, Ribeye, and Tenderness along with top 10% for Yield Grade. He is a carcass value giant that also offers high direct and maternal calving ease, top 1% Milk EPD, excellent docility, and can get all that done is a smaller frame size package.
The oldest daughters sired by ALUMNI went into production this spring and they look just like his great South Dakota University dam. They are smaller frame, big middle, attractive fronted females with picture perfect udder and teats.
Considering all EPD's and $ Index's, the moderated frame size, added muscle, enormous middle, extreme maternal and carcass value along with the "look" he stamps, ALUMNI may very well be the most complete and balanced economic trait SimAngus sire in the industry today.
Homozygous black, homozygous polled.
